Dominic chuckled. Clearly, Vespera had gotten so drunk that logic could no longer be applied. To play along, he
moved his lips beneath her hand and said, "Alright. | ate it."
It was only then that Vespera looked pleased. Her hand dropped onto Dominic's shoulder, fingers wandering
upward to gently tousle the hair at the nape of his neck. She mumbled, "Good boy."
Dominic wondered what Vespera was treating him as. Feeling helpless, he had no idea how her mind worked
when she was drunk.

her back inside.

Gerard had been deep in conversation with a beautiful colleague who had just invited him over after the party.
