Chapter 726
It was the classic story-an old classmate confessed his feelings, got rejected, then tried to force himself on her.
She humiliated him, and they never spoke again.
Vivian closed her eyes, trying hard to set aside those past grievances.
She scrolled through her contacts until she found a nboth strange and familiar: Holden Foster.
After hesitating for half an hour, her perfectly manicured finger finally pressed the call button.
The waiting felt unbearable. Just when she thought he wouldn't answer, a slightly deep male voice came
through. "Is this Vivian?"

Vivian ignored the strange feeling rising in her heart and forced a calm tone. "Yes."
The other end seemed surprised. "Why are you contacting me?"
Vivian closed her eyes, thinking about the wine situation, and pretended to sound gentle. "Nothing special. | just
felt it's been a long time, and | miss the old days."
"Huh." Holden laughed. He shifted his position while holding the phone, still with that careless attitude. "Come
on, don't | know you better than that? Just tellwhat you want. Stop being mysterious—it makes me
uncomfortable."
Being called out so directly made Vivian feel humiliated. She had always been the center of attention, always the
one others cto for favors.
Holden perked up his ears, listening carefully to the faint breathing on the line. Confirming she was still there, he
raised an eyebrow and said mockinglym "Miss High-and-Mighty Wilson, | have a date later and no tto waste
with you. If you don't speak up, I'm hanging up."
Vivian took a deep breath and said slowly, "I do need your help with something. Can we meet in person?"
Hearing this, a hint of desire flickered in Holden's eyes. Playing with his car keys, he said lightly, "Vivian, there's
one thing you said that I've always kept in mind-if you want something, you have to fight for it yourself, right?"
Vivian bit her lower lip hard to control her panic, managing only a short sound from her throat. "Right."
Holden laughed again, then said cheerfully, "I'll text you the tand place. Be punctual."
After hanging up, Vivian received the location and twithin minutes.
She responded with an emotionless "OK."
Her assistant knocked and entered, his brows furrowed. "Ms. Wilson, | just contacted the last wine supplier on our
cooperation list. They said they're out of stock."
Vivian didn't even look at him, just continued reviewing financial reports. "Hmm, | know."
The assistant was confused but still forced himself to ask, "Have you already found a solution?"
Only then did Vivian look up at him and nod. "Yes. I'm meeting a friend this afternoon. Handle whatever work you
can by yourself today. Anything you can't resolve can wait until | return."
The assistant nodded quickly, immediately straightening his back, his eyes full of admiration for Vivian.
Vivian chose to arrive thirty minutes early-something no one would have received from her in the past.
Holden had chosen a private Western restaurant for their meeting. The head chef was a three star Michelin chef,
and it was impossible to get a table without a reservation.
"Vivian, you're here so early? | remember you never used to wait for anyone." Holden arrived exactly on tat
the restaurant and immediately noticed the elegant woman seated in the private room.
